Apollo Real Estate US/ UK
Anyone have any insights into Apollo's real estate private equity group? Looking for the typical comp (base+bonus), hours, and culture at the Associate and Principal levels. Also what is the hiring process like for an Associate? Not so worried about exit ops. Interested in both US and UK offices. If you know about their debt business I'd be curious on that too. Thank you!
They have a lot of firepower (basically they invest money from their insurance companies, Athene and another whose name I don't remember) and they target both core and special sits/dev opportunities.
No direct experience but I've been told it's definitely a sweatshop.

Bump what is comp like here? Equity side is not as large AUM compared to other MFs, but Apollo is notorious to pay well and work you hard
In London Apollo pays £125k base + bonus for Associate 1.
