Ares REPE

Hey everyone, first post here. I'm currently interning at a small CRE office in New York City and got lucky enough to set up a meeting with a senior associate from Ares' REPE division who went to the same school as me. I was just wondering if anyone had any information about Ares/Ares REPE besides whats on their website, this could turn into something if I make the right impression and stay in touch. Anything you guys have to say would be useful. Thanks everyone.

networking can't hurt. i've heard the same about Ares (no first hand experience). I feel the general consensus is it's a sweatshop. might not be the worst first stop in your career though.

they have an analyst role in NYC (just posted on LinkedIn) if you're looking. not sure if you're still in school but this might be a good opportunity to get a full-time gig on the resume if that connection can help.

Still have one more summer to intern after this one so that's what I'm thinking about at the moment. I'll be interested to see how he describes the company culture now that I know the reputation Ares seems to have, although I can endure a sweatshop for a summer in exchange for a good brand name and experience if I were to land an internship.
