Asset Management 101
Hi all,
Wanted to get some advice on how to be a good/better asset manager.
I just started at an industrial-focused shop and my role consists of ~75% AM, 20% Acq, and 5% of Leasing/Misc. work. I have a light background in real estate and mostly in multifamily. I know industrial isn’t rocket science but IMO it’s very different from Multi. Does anyone have a good resource or tips on getting better at asset management? What do some of the “great” AMs do? Any advice on managing budgets, being firm with PMs, etc.? Any advice would be great.
