Austin firms - owner/developer

Was curious if any of you out there had recommendations for firms to research in Austin. I'll be graduating from a MSRE in December and will be looking to get in as an analyst for a REPE shop/private investment, public or private REIT, or a developer. Other than ACC and HPI, I'm not really familiar with quality firms in the area. Open to all property types other than residential.

I can't vouch for their quality, but it's a good start to your research. There are also a few large public funds here: ERS, TMRS, TRS, UTIMCO.

WCCG - World Class Capital Group Aspen Heights CityWide RE Advisors Wentwood Capital X CapRidge Virtus Westwood Advisors DPR Construction Forestar Group Mcshane Development (Conor Commercial)

The central texas market pays substantiallly less than DFW and Houston, I'm not sure why? Wentwood capital is ALWAYS hiring, they must have some serious turnover. Forestar is looking for an analyst - but that investment strategy may not be what your looking for (single family/oil & gas with a commercial twist). Greystar is looking for an analyst.

If you interested in student housing you should check out american campus communities (ACC)
