Bad Idea to Move Abroad as an Analyst?
Monkeys -
As a 2nd year capital markets analyst on a strong team at a large shop (JLL, CBRE, Newmark) would it be a bad idea to look into a transfer to London, UK or look at associate roles on the REPE side there? Curious how the real estate scene there differs and what there might be to gain or lose from spending a few years in London. Any insights into comp, culture or experiences in London CRE is also appreciated.
Thanks guys!
I just moved markets and it was HARD. Even in this incredibly strong job market. Just be aware that you may have to get an MBA in order to come back to the US.
Good jobs get tons of applications. Why would I interview someone who lives so far away when I have 100 applicants right here in NYC or wherever
I'm a research analyst at one of those firms. Have been looking to see if there's an opportunity to do an internal transfer from the company I'm with currently to one of those teams in Europe. Does anyone know of anyone that had been able to pull it off?
