Basic/Intermediate Guide for RE (Finance Terms, Capital Stack, Types of Ownership/Exchanges) - what resources to use if not learning at work or through degree?

Currently at a RE firm, obviously learning about some of what I mentioned above but there isn't a mentor or more senior person at my current firm saying all the time "yes, that is the correct way to think of" xyz finance terms, xyz situation and it's gone from me understanding basics to trying to understand more complex situations. 

I also believe I'm at a disadvantage since I did not learn this in school, so I'm curious are there certain resources you've found where they lay out these are what these terms definitely mean (finance terms, situations with capital stacks, ownership structures) - this is what x means and what happens in y with LP/GP's so I can compare certain situations I'm thinking of and know I have it right.

I already know of Peter Linnemans textbook so obviously have that as an all encompassing guide for more of the basics (IRR, NPV, etc). Outside of that are there any basic to intermediate guides that can explain terms like reverse 1031's, why you would use say one part of a capital stack when it's similar terms to another part of the stack but still called that (pref equity vs mezz?) Hoping to use this for me, but also for others as a basics to intermediate from right out of college to a few years out of school.

Not a full list of definitive terms or terminology but a decent reference. If someone says something you don't understand and you are not comfortable to ask on the spot, just write it down and google after. Different areas of RE have different terms for some of the same things, can be overwhelming at first but you'll catch on.
