Bellwether or Stockbridge - VP of asset management role

Hey everyone- currently an associate in equity AM at a BGO/Nuveen/TPG and found an opportunity at a few shops to jump to a VP role. I've narrowed my decision to Bellwether and Stockbridge and wanted to get everyone's take here on which firm is the better seat. This would be in the LA/SF offices (I'm agnostic) and comp is very similar, though Bellwether did offer a meaningful relocation bonus. I'm also aware that Bellwether is more of an asset manager than a typical REPE with an acq team, but they do have some high caliber clients.

Longterm I care about good branding/reputation and relevant connections, but also dealflow and am always eager to hone my skills.

Anyone have any insight to either of these companies and can give feedback on culture, reputation, etc.? I haven't dealt with either so kind of in the dark without ancedotes. Thank everyone!!

Using BGO/TPG interchangeably with Nuveen is crazy but if at the latter, go Stockbridge - Bellwether is subpar to say the least. If actually at BGO or TPG and not being pushed out, stay

As someone who knows people who worked at both, I'd go with Bellwether. Both people I knew at Stockbridge left at the VP level as it became very top-heavy/crowded and less platform growth. If this was 5-10 years ago, I prob would have gone with Stockbridge.
