Best Course for Associate Modeling Tests
Currently wrapping up my second year as an analyst in multifamily acquisitions. Interviewing for associate roles now and keep fucking up the modeling tests. I am proficient in Excel, use it consistently at work, understand our models very well, etc, but when it comes to completing modeling tests, I usually perform poorly as I don't finish because I spend way too much time building out complex formulas (as I'm used to doing on the job). First off, am I alone this and am I actually a dumbass or is this more common than I may think?
Considering taking a course where I can practice a bunch of 2-4 hour case studies. Does anyone have suggestions for such a course? Not looking for recommendations such as ACRE as modeling in ACRE is fairly different than modeling tests.
It's frustrating and I'm angry with myself as I honestly have a great resume. When I submit half completed models, people must think I'm a fucking idiot or that my resume is a lie, but, as far as work is concerned, I perform very well and always receive excellent reviews. I'm working in Excel nearly every day and have been through quite a few acquisitions since I started.
Check out Justin Kivel (breaking into CRE) he has great courses for modeling etc.
Second this
Double checking that it is specifically a good course to use to prepare for the 2-4 hour associate modeling exams ?
Is A.CRE different to case studies? I found that Breaking into CRE did not provide enough detail and was going to invest in A.CRE to compensate. Mind explaining why A.CRE did not satisfy your case studies? They provide a library of case studies to learn from which I assumed would be very beneficial.
