Best European RE funds (UK + Continental) + Background

Hello fellow monkeys, Out of curiosity, which one are the best RE funds in Europe at the moment? And also, what special situations/ NPL funds are there in Europe? I was thinking along the lines of BX RE Debt, Cerberus but not many other names come to mind. If one would like to end up in a real estate fund in Europe with a very broad mandate (looking at acquisitions from debt and equity side etc.) what kind of background/programs are traditional for this?

Thanks in advance!

Being at a BB or top elite boutique in IBD is all you really need to get into the distressed shops, such as the ones people have suggested and I listed below. I wouldn't say la salle is exactly a gateway to get into NPL/distressed stuff that these guys look at or any brick & mortar guy unless you want to be on the asset management side.

Would focus on getting into IBD as it opens to doors to Oaktree, Lone Star and so forth

if your all about the brick & mortar would recommend going onto the Eastdil analyst program they pay $$ and will underwrite deals from a PE context.

PM me I know most of the top recruiters in Europe and can out you in touch

Hey, sorry for reviving a year+-old thread.

How do you view exit opps into NPL funds coming from a loan portfolio advisory function (think Big 4 / CBRE / Alantra, etc.), doing sales of NPL (across RE, consumer, etc.)? I've seen some guys going into these funds from those shops before but wanted to know if people on this forum had a better view of things.

This is for Europe btw.

Thanks!
