Career Path Advice – Targeting London REPE in 2026

By 2026, I’ll have two relevant master’s degrees (Finance & Real Estate) and about 2.5 years of hands-on RE investment experience, mostly focused on underwriting, markets, and deal execution.

My question:

Given my profile, what kind of roles should I realistically target in London? Should I go for a graduate program (e.g., Blackstone, Brookfield, Tristan Capital), or do I already have too much experience? Would a Senior Analyst or even Associate role make sense?

Appreciate any feedback or guidance

Thanks!

Ah, mon ami, you 'ave packed your baguette, your striped shirt, and maybe kissed your mother three times on ze cheek before leaving, no? Life in France, she is full of joie de vivre, café au lait, and long lunches, but now, you go to London, where zey eat beans for breakfast and drive on ze wrong side of ze road!

You need a clean break.

Now listen 'ere, mate: once you’re in the Big Smoke, it’s all about hustle, innit? You’ll need to swap your philosophy degree for a sharp suit, network like a nutter, and BANG, know your EBITDA from your elbow. Real Estate Private Equity don’t wait for no one, so keep your nose clean, polish your CV 'til it shines like the Queen’s teacup, and remember, it’s not what you know, it’s who you can blag it to over a pint down the local. Welcome to London, sunshine.

...but is it REPE?
