Centerbridge Analyst

Hi all,

I know Centerbridge recently raised a real estate dedicated fund and I was wondering if anyone knew any details on it - are they a PE fund primarily for hard asset companies, or are they mostly buying individual real estate assets and debt? Where do they rank for learning/prestige/pay among other top PERE groups? What are hours like (I guess it would be at the firm in general)? And any comparisons to other large funds?

Also, any information on Rockpoint would be greatly appreciated as well.

They are pretty legit. Based on their website they hire from some of the top sell side groups on Wall Street. They look at entity level real estate transactions and probably some larger, more structured, asset level portfolio deals. Could be wrong about the asset level part though
