CRE loan valuation/acquisitions analyst -> Credit analyst at a BB commercial bank
Hello guys. Recently received a credit analyst job offer. What do you think about this move? I'm considering it due to a slight bump in salary. My goals is to get into REPE acquisitions. Would this move digress my career path?
What are you doing now? In the title you mentioned it’s at a BB. Will this be in the CRE department? Will this be predominantly BS lending? If it is at a BB in the CRE Group I would say that it would be a solid gig. You will see a lot of deals and get a great sense on what gets financed and how BS lenders underwrite. Depending on the bank and market, a lot of your clients maybe institutional buyers. You can even network with one of your clients and go work for them.
Thanks for the insights. Could anybody think of how the skill sets for a valuation/acquisitions job can translate to a CRE credit analyst position ?
