DLJ Real Estate Partners

I'm curious if anyone knows about the firm, the fund size, and what they work on. I know they sold the Kimpton in NYC to BX and have a pretty sick office project in Venice, but I don't know much else. Also, are these guys a spin-off of DLJ?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners (DLJ RECP) is a real estate private equity firm. While the context doesn't provide specific details about their fund size or all their projects, it does mention Martin Clarke as a Tax Director at DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners, LLC. Additionally, the firm appears to have been involved in notable transactions, such as selling the Kimpton in NYC to Blackstone and working on a significant office project in Venice.

Regarding whether they are a spin-off of DLJ (Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette), the context does not confirm this. If you're looking for more detailed insights, you might consider exploring additional resources or threads on WSO.

Do not have a ton of insight into firm, but my father used to work with one of the senior guys there. It seems to be kind of a spinoff, think it was/is actually under the Credit Suisse umbrella after they acquired DLJ but it was allowed to keep its own branding. Not sure if it was spun off since then and where it now stands especially with all that has happened to CS in recent years. My understanding is that they are a mid-size firm with a couple of billion and mainly do development, and substantial repositioning, and I know in the past they have done some opportunistic debt stuff. work across different property types.
