Do people in brokerage have a second job?
I am finding it extremely difficult to make ends meet being a Commerical broker. Is there anyone out there that held a second job while building a CRE career?

Career Resources
Yes - it's very common for entry level brokers to hold a second job / night job while building their careers. Know a few who waited/bartended while they were building their book of business.
I've seen it all the time, though not many admit (at least until they are well past that stage of life). One of my closest friends bar tended for years post college while working in brokerage. Another good friend drives for Uber when business is slow. It's very common and frankly needed for many. Unless you have a spouse or family that supports you, the uneven nature of brokerage is tough for many to make work.
Yup. I used to be part-time gigolo at night when I was not working. Now that I've made it, I just do the gigolo gig for free.
Was it performance base? Or is it start small and grow your book like in CRE?
