Eastdil Coffee Chat Advise
I am setting up coffee chats with Eastdil analysts, associates, and a managing director. Any Eastdil-specific advice that you guys could give me? I have had plenty of coffee chats with top real estate professionals, but none from a RE IB firm like Eastdil.
I would love to start my career here, and I understand how competitive it can be to land a job at this firm. I need all the advice possible. Thank you.
Let's start by not glazing - Eastdil is a great firm, but there is no reason to approach this differently than any other coffee chat.
Be yourself, be respectful/professional, show true interest in a CRE career, and you will be just fine.

Know what they do before the chat so you’re not asking boring questions and be normal and likable. Seriously you don’t need anything more than that.
Echoing the note above - make sure you specifically understand if they are in IB or IS. I’m on the investment sales side and have had intro chats with students who didn’t even know we had that part of the house.
