Eastdil Secured Worth It?
I go to a semi target out East and was wondering if you guy's think Eastdil holds more weight (all aspects) compared to GS or MS real estate groups.
If so, can you explain why Eastdil has the edge.

No - MS is very very good. ES's clout is CRE driven, among the bulge's it diminishes tremendously - they're still good don't get me wrong.
Post buyout, ES became more a RE advisor less a financial advisor. In that bracket (JLL, CBRE, NKF) they're still dominate, and starting at ES would trump the others. However, the times are changing.
Do you mean REGAL or ES? Bc Eastdil no longer really competes w the BBs.
Equity Sales/Investment Sales. Not debt
I would go for a job w/ Eastdil over the CRE lending group at these banks any day of the week. That being said RE IB at these banks would be better for exit opps.
Eastdil is as good as it gets for exit ops in to REPE or REIT space. They are the best in the space and train their analysts better than anyone. Everyone in the industry knows them and knows that the analysts have been trained well. It is unique opportunity to see assets from a main street perspective while still having the capital markets and financing expertise of any BB
Do you know their hours for equity sales vs the IB group?
