From Corporate Real Estate to Investment Side?
Hi all, this summer was tough finding an internship and unfortunately I am not where I wanted to end up. I'll be interning in the Real Estate group at an F50 company doing sale leaseback, property valuation, among other things. This is not where I want to be full time, but I was wondering if there was any carryover between corporate real estate and say REGAL at a bank or REPE, etc. so I could recruit FT? Thanks for any input
edit: Did not realize this was internship not FT.
Agree with below.
Um, this is an internship, not a career. You can recruit full time for pretty much any and all jobs that are seeking UG hires for your type of major/background. The internship would be enhancing, not a limiter, during FT recruiting.
And yes, all of those items are extremely valuable for a knowledge base in many buyside or sellside activities. Actually working for clients/users is valuable.
Thanks, I really appreciate it! I know its just an internship, not a career. I was just more so curious about the transferability of my experiences for the investing side. Good to know it shouldn't be a problem.
