Hines ElevateE Early Career Rotation Program--technicals/interview process

I'm a senior at a target school and had relevant internships over the last two summers--applied for the FT development analyst rotation program.

My resume is good and I also have networked and got my application flagged, only thing is I don't know yet if i need to get ready for a case study. Does anyone know what the process is for this program at Hines specifically?

Also, does anyone know any other good rotation/training programs in development?

Hines Elevate Early Career Rotation Program

  • Interview Process: While specific details about the Hines Elevate program's interview process aren't provided in the knowledge base, it's common for rotational programs to include a mix of behavioral and technical questions. Given your background and the fact that your application has been flagged, you should be prepared for:
    • Behavioral Interviews: Questions about your past experiences, teamwork, leadership, and why you're interested in the program.
    • Technical Interviews: Questions related to real estate development, financial modeling, and market analysis.
    • Case Studies: It's possible that you might be asked to complete a case study. These typically involve analyzing a real estate project, making recommendations, and presenting your findings.

Other Good Rotation/Training Programs in Development

  • Corporate Development Programs: These programs often provide a pathway into strategy and M&A roles. For example, one individual transitioned into a corporate development role at a large F500 tech firm after proving themselves in a rotational program.
  • Finance Leadership Programs: These can be found by searching LinkedIn for terms like "finance leadership program" or "finance rotation program" to see where program analysts end up after the program.

Additional Tips

  • Networking: Continue leveraging your network to gather more specific insights about the Hines program.
  • LinkedIn Research: Use LinkedIn to see the career trajectories of individuals who have completed similar programs.

Did you get an interview for a specific region (ex. development team in Houston) or was it more a general interview and they'll place you with a specific team later on based on team needs?
