JLL Capital Markets Analyst Interview

Hello WSO,

I interviewed for a JLL Capital Markets Analyst position about a month ago and haven't heard anything back yet.  This is all after four phone interviews and a two hour in person interview, which I met with the entire capital markets division at their office.  Can anyone give me some insight as to what their hiring process is like and if this is typical.  Thanks!

I applied to this position and I'm gonna have my interview sometime soon.

Any tips on how to prepare? I don't really have any experience in CRE, and I'm not really sure what real estate capital markets do

I have a similar interview at a top capital markets team. Any advice? Have gotten focus mostly on fit and story, know their recent deals for rounds before Excel test. How has the process been for you?

In my experience it was several phone screenings with other analysts.  Followed by in person interview with most of the capital markets team in two to three person groups, altogether was probably around 8-10 people.  Took about two hours, definitely a long process.  Most of the questions with the analysts over the phone were personality based.  The in person interview was definitely more skill/knowledge based questions.  I ended up not getting an offer and was finally rejected several months later.  I never received an excel test but have heard that they typically give one.  This was my experience in one office, other offices I am sure do things differently to an extent.  Good luck.

Got it, what were some of the skill/knowledge questions? I have a a meeting with a couple of team members (20-30 mins each). Have my story down and why the group as well as RE technicals (what's a cap rate, how do you calculate value, etc). Anything else you felt was hard/I may be missing?
