This was really helpful. Thank you. I know you said if it’s not a tier 1 market probably not worth it, but how about in a hot region like the sun belt?

If you’re talking about TX, can confirm that all the offices are solid. Dallas is defacto hq of capital markets since Mark Gibson and other leaders of the firm work out of there. Houston’s also a massive office with a lot of rainmakers and Austin is a small office but does well given how much attention has been thrown at the area.

To provide insight into one of the larger offices with a lot of deal flow, the analyst/associate experience here is good. We get a lot of deals coming through from all across the country since a good bit of our client base is institutional. Comp is same base salary as every office but we tend to close a lot of deals so analysts and associates are making anywhere from 100-350k a year depending on what their deal flow looks like and overall capital markets environment. The experience here is probably not the norm but definitely on the better side of what an analyst stint could look like at JLL. Very market and team dependent though.
