JP Morgan Acquisitions Team
Hey all, very interested in applying to JP Morgan’s Analyst Program when it opens this summer and would love work on their acquisitions team given my internship experience. As we know their website has overarching groups/divisions to apply to, so which would be the correct one to apply to that this team falls under? Asset Management?
I'm not sure what overarching groups/divisions or website you're referring to... But I believe they put you through a rotational like program for 6 months stints, 2 years total, or something to that affect. Maybe shorter if you're still in UG. But my understanding is the REB group is the one that is very competitive/garners the most interest. I think Asset Management would be more wealth management/private banking related but I may be wrong. There definitely could be a CRE focused team within the Asset Management group. Most CRE should sit within Commercial Banking and / or the Investment Bank
JP Morgan real estate falls under JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM). Search for the real estate team under "Asset management - Alternatives - Real Estate Americas'. They do not silo acquisitions and asset management. You will do both and as you get more senior, you will begin to specialize. However, as of late, many people on their platform do both acquisitions and asset management, even as they become more senior. The team stopped specialization a bit ago.
Pudding is right. You want jpmam not commercial or investment bank if you’re looking for acquisitions
