What ended up happening? Are you looking to get into the sales or leasing side?
I received a message on LinkedIn, then had a phone conversation. Was invited to interview in person. Interview was very conversational, not technical at all. Received offer, but was 100% commission with no draw. Was told I might not see income for 6 months, so it wasn’t really an option for me.
I connected with someone who worked there a few years ago. They didn't like it there, and have since moved on to another company. They described the company's culture as toxic.
They recruited at my college’s career fair in the past. I smelled the stench from a mile away because I was familiar with similar brokerages. Definitely not my cup of tea if I were to go down the 100% commission route. Plus, most certified brokerage shops that do real business don’t just hire anyone to originate business. Novices typically start out as analysts to learn the game then eventually you can ramp up and potentially bring in business. It’s a red flag if a company is willing to let someone brand new originate deals.
