Knight Frank Global Capital Markets

Hi real estate gurus,

From what I understand, Knight Frank is a residential and commercial consultancy. How does the Global Capital Markets operate in a CRE consultancy firm? I am only familiar with debt capital markets and ECM in banking. What's the purpose of Global Capital Markets in CRE?

Thanks in advance guys

Are you in the US or Europe? Knight Frank is kind of like the parent company in the US, but in Europe is an actual firm.

If you are in the US I believe you're talking about NGKF (Newmark Grubb Knight Frank). Basically Knight Frank needed access to the US market and joined teams with Newmark who needed a more international brand. During the recession Grubb & Ellis, one of the major shops, went under, and Newmark Knight Frank bought it to create NGKF. NGKF Capital Markets is basically their debt and equity guys and the guys that do the institutional property sales. I don't think they have too big of a footprint, like CBRE Capital Markets or HFF, but they do have some players.

If you're not in the US then I have no clue what to tell you.
