I very much disagree - hiring nowhere near previous levels
Doesn't mean it's not lively though. Loads of roles going and if you have a good CV you will land an interview
It will remain dead as long as interest rates remain above 2%. Why would you go through the hassle of buying property yielding a similar post-tax return than the risk free rate ?
Real estate prices are also affected by interest rates, especially in commercial real estate. I've been buying commercial real estate and definitely notice less competition and more price concessions.
Why did anyone buy commercial property before the ZIRP
Before the era of ZIRP, valuations and expected returns were aligned with higher interest rates. However, most investors have not yet adjusted to the current environment, preferring to wait until central banks will reduce rates to previous levels. As a result, the market remains largely in a "wait-and-see" mode.
I am wondering if there has been activity recently from companies providing visa (i'm based in continental europe). Many friends in London had interviews with great firms, but these are often reluctant to provide sponsorship
