Networking into Acquisitions Role Via NAIOP.

I recently just joined NAIOP as an associate in the developing leaders program in NYC. I was wondering if anyone had any advice or experience in networking via NAIOP, specifically which events to go to, how events go, what to expect, and how to present yourself. Personally, I am hoping to network into an Acquisitions role sometime early next year and have invested time into completing the Adventures in CRE Accelerator program.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Go to the national events, very worthwhile (not saying local ones bad, but national is where you see the "heavy hitters"). You can also access the national member directory and reach out to people (the "im a fellow NAIOP member" thing is great way to get responses).

Will say, in NYC.... you should also join ULI (generally each city has a more "dominate" group, and in NYC its ULI).
