NY Job Opportunities

Moving to NY in a couple of weeks. I currently have no job lined up. What would you guys consider to be my best way to land a REIT, REIB, or REPE first year analyst job. I just graduated last month and have had three internships, 2 involving RE. I also understand valuation and modeling and have received some RE certifications. I feel like my resume is strong, just need to find a way to meet and network with people. Any specific events? conferences that you guys suggest? ....Also I want to be proactive and take full advantage of my time there. How would showing up to companies with a resume in hand and asking to speak to HR come off? Is there tough security in NY for these firms?

hey man, welcome. would start by getting signed up for the New York list here and hitting up some of the Happy hours: //www.wallstreetoasis.com/events

Also, whether you have a job or not, the WSO Conference is a great way to build your network...also in NYC this year.

Best of luck! Patrick
