NYC Hiring Market

Just posting this again as it has been some time - what are we seeing in the NYC Acquisitions / Asset Management markets. Appreciate it's coming to the back end of the year but is anyone actively in recruitment processes / chats with recruiters at the moment?

What are our thoughts on when the market will pick up again?

Not in CRE but at a big diversified AM firm that has a huge CRE component. Those guys are getting titty-fucked right now. Only people being hired are on the Portfolio Management / FP&A / IR side to backfill people leaving. Investments team is leaner than ever has been, don't think any hard layoffs have been done but no one is getting promoted, a few people have been pushed out at Associate 2 / 3 level, a few people have moved on and not been replaced and a few people have been kept on as fourth year Associates.

I repeat, those guys are getting TITTY-FUCKED by god
