Passed Argus Enterprise Exam
Just passed the AE exam. WSO has always been a huge help for me so the least I can do is give back to the community in some way. Happy to answer any questions or offer any help that I can. I'm sure there's other threads out there as well.
Best of luck to all those taking it.
You do the 90 day take home one? Or was this something else
It was actually a program at my college where they give you a 6 month AE license, practice modules and questions, a 250 page manual, practice exam and the real exam for $570 (usually $1300+ for regular deal). If you pass on the first try the school reimburses you for the cost.
How many hours did it take? What’s the cost? Do you feel proficient now?
I studied for about 2 hours a day 5 days a week so that's 10 hours a week. Took me about 3 months total. I got the university bundle which cost me $570 (absolute steal).I definitely feel very proficient in the program. I took anothe argus test for an interview before I took the official certification test and the interview test was so much easier because of how much I learned.
Bruh, it’s an Argus exam, not the MCATs.
You're right, it's not. However I'm one of those guys that needs to learn things over a lot to really get it unfortunately so it took me a while. Also I really pushed it off a lot, if you devote a good amount of time to it you can finish it all in a month.
i know i was like wow i hope his family threw him a huge surprise party when he got home with a bonfire to throw all his study materials into and lots of expensive bourbon and his grandparents show up
Lol i passed the argus exam without studying at all its not that hard of an exam. Did only nudge out a 72 tho
I bought the course but its expiring at the end of this month. Got a new role in acquisitions so stopped reviewing the materials. I’d still like to get the cert, although if i fail i wont pay to take it again because I only bought the course to help me land a new job. Was reviewing the videos enough to pass the exam? I really don’t feel like reading that massive textbook.
Yeah the videos were definitely enough to pass the test. Very comprehensive.
it's been years since I took the AE exam, but I recall it being open note- right? I think I studied pretty hard and then when I saw you could reference the guides while taking the exam I was just like "okay I guess I'll get a 100% score now..."
I am not currently in CRE but have been reading up on the fundamentals of RE modeling and other real estate oriented texts on rental property investing. I am trying to break into RE and was told " dont waste your money on this Exam" but i feel it is a necessary credential to have to legitimize myself as a candidate. I'm not coming with 0 background to modeling as i'm currently in a role more centered around strategic finance in Corpfin, but from your experience will there big a massive learning curve for someone who doesn't work in RE ? Thanks
