PE Excel Test

I have been meeting with a PE firm and they are now bringing me in for an "analytical test" which I take for an excel model and maybe starting with Argus. They specialize in lending on transitional CRE.

I wasn't given any guidance as to what I should be expecting with the exception of the invite from HR lasting 2 hours and a mention of a waterfall in the interview despite that's not something I would be doing on the job.

I would expect there to be an Argus (if anything but multi) or Excel (if mulit) model from scratch with a waterfall, but am not 100% sure. Can anyone provide guidance if I'm expecting the right thing or not? Thanks.

Thanks. That's sort of what I figured the case would be. In the past, I've been given assumptions and asked to build a 10 year pro forma in 60 minutes, but no waterfall or tasked to build an Argus and bring that to Excel for the waterfall in 150-180 minutes.
