Portfolio / Asset Management —> Acquisitions & Development Transition
I’m currently a 2nd year associate in asset management and portfolio management at a pretty large shop. However, I’ve been trying to move into more of an acquisitions and development role, but haven’t had much luck. some interviews here and there, and I’ve gotten some great feedback, but seems like they’re always going with people with more direct acquisitions experience.
Do you guys think that this is more so just a function of the job market right now? Or is this a tough switch in general, being that I have like 4 YOE and trying to switch?
