Portfolio Management Comp
Currently negotiating comp for an associate/senior associate level debt portfolio management role. Does anyone have datapoints on where market comp would be for that now? Role is NYC with ~$3 bn AUM

Just left a fund a good amount bigger than $3bn for an acq role, but was around $120k/50-60% as an associate on the debt portfolio management side of the business
Add the type of cost of living. HCOL/MCOL/LCOL or this doesn't help at all.
NYC should be the baseline unless people ask for specific markets. Otherwise you have figures from Kansas City and Huntsville dragging down what’s considered “market”.
Comp at big funds is pretty standardized across locations, but HCOL of course

depends on the job function. are you running portfolio analytics, tracking watchlists, closing/working on restructurings, executing foreclosures, executing loan sales? or are you just pushing paper, sending out billing statements, tracking reserve balances (i.e. servicing)? i've seen both being referred to as "debt portfolio management." in the first bucket, i know of senior associates (post-mba) getting comped $500k+ all-in at the larger platforms in nyc. in the second bucket, it's going to be much lower.
That seems to be pretty high relative associates on the origination side. What firms are paying their associates that much?
