Question About Internship
I'm currently a senior graduating from a non-target in May. I want to get a job as an acquisitions or asset management analyst postgrad. My past internships include summers as a capital markets analyst, investment sales analyst at a small mom & pop, and intern at a landlord rep shop. All of my past internships gave me a lot of valuable underwriting, modeling, and research skills.
I was recently hired as a spring intern at a very reputable, full service firm (investments, development, sales, etc) in a primary market but have come to realize that I'm nothing more than an office boy. My duties include making copies, running errands, and answering the phone. I'm a little disappointed because I thought it'd be a great opportunity to sharpen my skills before entering the job market. It's definitely a good name to have on my resume, but I worry being nothing more than a "receptionist" offsets this value.
Can anyone give me advice? Should I stick it out and try to to make the best of it? Should I quit and apply to other internships? Just looking for a bit of direction.
Thanks in advance.
