Raymond James REIB Interview Process

All, curious if anyone has gone through the interview/hiring process for Raymond James REIB in St. Pete? Any anecdotes about your experience whether it was just with HR or a bit more in depth with a hiring manager/modeling test.

I know there is company/interview information here on WSO but it's not as built out as I had hoped and a bit outdated. Also, any update on the group itself? A few older threads made it seem like some head guys were leaving but interested in this group so looking to gather info all around.

I have no personal clue about the HR process, but I worked in Florida years back. They RJ people saw themselves just like any other NYC BB I-bank, or at least held themselves out that way. I'd expect they would want to keep recruiting on par, but they do hire realistically given market/size of the firm. That said, lots of Ivy/Ivy-like grads come from Florida, so they get plenty of applicants all around.

No, but applied for a role and have a phone call set up with a higher-up (being anonymous since I don't know how big the group truly is). The phone call was set up through a connection, so unclear if it's an actual interview or information session. However, I'd like to treat it as much like an interview as possible and be prepared for certain types of questions .

I would confirm this as well, they had a rep of only doing OCR in the southeast, but they still got apps from NE ivy schools from people wanting to move back to FL. SunTrust Robinson Humphrey was the same way, very sensitive to avoiding regional competition. Unfortunately comp supposedly also reflected this regionalism, hence why they still lose people to bigger name firms, they just pay more.
