RE Career Pivot from AM to Renewables

I am debating a career switch from a traditional Asset Management Analyst to a role focused on renewables. I am currently one year in at a small multifamily REPE shop in a Tier 2 market as an Asset Management Analyst. The size of the shop gave me the opportunity to also work on the companies ESG initatives and the solar projects in the pipeline. I enjoy multfamiily as an asset class but I find the renewable energy portion of my job more interesting. Has any one else made a similar transition?  I would be interested in roles working within the industry on the finance/real estate side or the "green energy" arm of a RE fund. Before I start this search I want to make sure I have an idea of whats feasible and what will be a reach.

If the additional background helps, I graduated from a non target with a 3.7 and did 2 years at a botique IB/ debt restructuring shop before getting into RE.
