Real Estate M&A
Currently analyst at a large developer focused on land acq and capitalization of such projects across the country (underwrite the deal, secure equity, review JV's, secure debt, etc). Interested in transitioning to true buyside real estate M&A (reit take privates, for example). Recognize only a select few firms that execute this. Any thoughts on how I could make this transition and is it feasible ?

Way too early. Only have 1 year of experience. Should have mentioned that in the post.
True buy side? You're already on the buy side and in a position many would kill for. M&A jobs are few and far between in real estate. I'm not sure if I would even consider them buy side. Sounds like you want to be in IB.
I said buyside as an adjective to M&A as I did not want people to confuse it with sellside M&A (IB). Didn’t do a good job of laying that out. Yes, as mentioned in the post, I recognize those jobs are few and far between.
