REIT Modeling
I would like some advice on the most cost effective means of understanding the ins and outs of REIT modeling at the company level. I saw the Wall Street Prep offering for $750 which is more than I want to spend, yet seems pretty well put together. Can anyone offer advice?
I've used the Breaking Into Wall Street course and found it well-put together and helpful
there must be a cheaper way to get your hands on an excel model of a reit
email me -- I have seen many NAV models, which is what most companies use to value a REIT and determine its trading strategy, IMO.
Take a look at the NAV stuff on Green Streets website.
I second BIWS. Plus it is less expensive than Wall Street Prep.

REIT Roadmap is very easy, informative, inexpensive read. You should be able to put together a NAV model after reading. If not run a google search for "NAV model xls" and I am sure you will get some hits.

I am going to be a SA at a major REIT this summer and my modeling experience is almost non existent. I want to be able to stand out among the other SAs where would you recommend finding modeling info? I have no problem putting in the work, I have found so many different options though, I don't know which one is best.
