REPE Debt Fund - Interview

Hey guys,

I have a interview coming up for a REPE on their debt team for an Analyst role and was wondering if anyone can prepare me with any questions they'll ask me. I'm curious how in depth do they go asking about debt structures and the underwriting process, just overall, the technical questions is what im worried about.

Thanks in advance.

I would assume they ask you basic modeling questions, something about what you like about RE/where you see opportunities in the market, and if you have previous deal experience, to walk them though something you worked on.

Depending on the focus of the debt fund, you probably want to brush up on back leverage mechanics/the various ways that funds make $.

Thanks, appreciate your insight. Can you briefly explain what back leverage mechanics there is?
