REPE Summer 2027 recruiting

Hi all, rising junior from big-southern non target currently interning at a small-ish GP shop focused on value-add and opportunistic deals. I'm really enjoying acquisitions so far, much more than I did development last summer, and I think I can see myself in a PE or debt fund for at least the near future in terms of internships and full time position. I was wondering what the timelines looked like and where to find out what funds take interns and analysts as I know that is still a relatively new practice. I am hoping to go to an UMM/MF in NYC, however, I understand that is a long shot for anyone so I wanted to really just get an idea of how to get into institutional acquisitions or debt out of school.

Thanks for the response and I'm definitely targeting the shops you're talking about. I always kinda wrote Starwood, Blackstone, and KKR off at least for my analyst stint since I don't go to a Harvard or Wharton type school. I know Ares opens in august and so does AEW, but is there any consistency to it or is it really just shop by shop and you gotta track all of them individually.
