Role, Pay Scale, Exit Opps from a Real Estate Investment Specialist at a BB?

Hey y'all,

I have an opportunity to shift to secure a Real Estate Investment Specialist role at a BB. I currently work in CRE on the investment side but cannot find any information about what the role pertains, what it pays, and what the exit opps are. I am under the impression that a specialist is a glorified advisor so just seeking some extra info!

Thank you.

Hi F2ESC_, whoops, looks like nobody chimed in here.... maybe one of these discussions below is relevant:

Unfortunately I’m not quite sure how any of us can help. If you don’t have a job description, none of us are going to know what you’re talking about as the only description you provided was ‘secure investment specialist at a top BB.’ Can you ask for a job description? How do you have the opportunity to move jobs if you don’t even know what the job is?

I'm guessing its JPM because that's the verbiage they use and I haven't really seen it elsewhere.  I think the "investment specialist" role is a client facing sales role, almost like a product specialist but you actually have clients.  I would defer to someone with direct knowledge but I believe that's what it entails.  Selling JPM either on an SMA or institutional real estate fund basis (I believe that they hit every bucket from core to opportunistic).

Comp at associate level, again I am guessing, but 125-150K + 30-55% bonus which would be partially based on production but that may come more into play at the VP level.
