Small Boutique Asset Management Analyst vs Brokerage (Leasing) Analyst?

Hey everyone, I recently graduated and I’m looking for advice on my career path. I’ve been an Valuation and Advisory Analyst (appraisal) on the Senior Housing team at one of the big brokerages (CBRE, JLL, Cushman) for a little over a year now. Appraisals is not my long term goal. Ideally, I would like to end up in AM/AQ at some point.

I currently have 2 job offers with a response needed soon obviously.

- Asset Management Analyst for a very small (<30 properties) private equity firm investing solely in senior housing communities. (Get to work with AM, AQ, and construction as they also develop properties)
- Brokerage Analyst for a midsized brokerage on their Industrial or Office leasing teams (I have the choice)
- Stay on in current role and become Valuation and Advisory Analyst with senior housing team in January

I’m leaning towards leaving my current role. I haven’t had success with landing an IS Analyst role (the traditional route). So, I want to hear your opinions on which path you think would give me the best chance to end up in AM/AQ. Would the small shop AM role allow me to get an AM role at a larger shop later on? Would the leasing brokerage job allow me to lateral to IS? I appreciate any opinions.
