SSG Groups

Seeing a bunch of info / posts / job opps for special situations group at various banks (focus on real estate). Currently a sophomore and this looks very interesting but looking for additional information. Ran a LinkedIn search for more info and saw a decent amount of people at Deutsche Bank (seemingly in real estate).

Does anyone have any additional information on this group? What are the typical exit opportunities for this type of group? Type of real estate investments? Any info would be much appreciated.
