I recently got an offer from Stepstone group in their real estate group for next summer. They primarily focus on secondaries and re-caps. My goal long term is to be in real estate private equity REPE in acquisitions. Can anyone offer any insight on the firm/team/culture, and if this is a good opportunity?

Yeah it’s a good opp. They’re legit and write big checks.
Don’t get hung up on the “secondaries” thing. Recapping portfolios of properties and making entity level investments are deals that most of the major funds will do as well
They don't just focus on secondaries. The team is small, the culture is good, and it's a great place to work with good upside.
