Struggling to find tasks for intern

Our intern this year is young and doesnt have any real skills so we can’t give them any important work, but need to keep them busy. So far we have told them to shop comps and secret shop our own properties and report back on property management and leasing. Ideally I could give them a project to keep them busy for a few weeks.

Anyone have ideas on how to keep them busy? What are your interns doing for you? For what it’s worth our company builds apartments primarily in the SE.

I was an intern at a boutique shop during my MBA, no experience and reported directly to our MP

Some things the team had me do that were helpful (?) even though they didn’t necessarily move the needle

1 tour all competitor properties and create a report with where the market was at (encouraged to negotiate and see what incentives were there) 2 review insurance documents to see where we were vulnerable 3 record drone footage and Matterport of our properties 4 research local, state, and federal incentives i.e. mass timber / brownfield 5 do all coordination of meetings for appraisals / inspections 6 draft investor reports 7 anything marketing: order signs and flags, redesign old website, update project photos
