Thoughts on AEW

Looking at various players in the REPE space and recently talked with someone who formerly worked at AEW and they spoke very highly of the company. Any good insight on culture/comp/recruiting? I have 1 yr experience out of UG at a small repe shop ($500 AUM) and looking to fill an entry-analyst role. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I know a dozen people at AEW. General consensus, brand name shop that will give you great exits. But they abuse their brand and pay junior (VP and under) below market comp. Due to the attractiveness of their brand, there's also way too many junior members on the team and thus the chances of you moving up is slim (kind of like a IB structure, only they pay you much better in IB).

Thanks for the insight this helps. I’m looking at aew more as a place to learn 1-2 yrs in analyst role and have some good exit ops. What is a ballpark for a below market comp? My current role is $65k w 20%, would it be below that?
