Tips / Technicals for Starwood Property Trust Summer Analyst 2023?

Hey fellow monkeys,

I'm really excited that SPT (Miami Beach) reached out to me for a phone interview. However, I just really don't know what to expect at all, especially for technicals. On the job posting, they said that major is "not important" if that helps? I just finished my freshman year in undergrad business, so I don't have much experience in technicals and stuff, but I do have a lot of general real estate experience. Any tips and advice would be so great!

Thank you.

I interviewed with several groups a couple of months back. SPT was the least technical compared to portfolio management/acquisitions (toughest ones). I did 2 interviews but I made it clear I wanted to go further with acquisitions (hotels and general) so idk what the superday for that group would be like. Those first two interviews were heavily behavioral. I know most offices like SF ATL NY CT gave offers.

Not yet. Interviewed at the beginning of the last week of July. Was told I'd hear back in 2-3 weeks, but 2 weeks haven't passed yet. Interviewer told me he and the others do a round table discussion and pick who does second round.
