TPG Real Estate - Culture, Comp, Hours, Etc...?

Just wondering what their stature is most recently. Would like an updated view on how they are, how well respected they are in REPE, culture, comp, WLB, and their future prospects. Are they on an upward/downward trend?

Culture is going go be “work hard” you’ll be putting in the hours. Comp should be strong. No one tracks are they “up or down in prestige” - that’s really a WSO thing. Wouldn’t be too worried. TPG is a great brand name. If you can handle (and want to do) the hours - go for it. Personally - I couldn’t handle those hours. Would never work at a firm like TPG but it’s a respected name and friends of mine have worked there.

I mean, they are a big name serious player in real estate that has major deals behind them plus being a part of their broader equity portfolio.  That's their stature.  There is no AP list showing they fell down three rankings from last year, or how they stack up to other firms.  They are legit.

At the entry level, where i understand your situation to be at - if you get an offer and are game to put in the extra hours, take it every day of the week.  Great company to have on the resume.

P.S. I hope the original post was a humble brag.
