University Transfer For CRE Career Goals

I’m a freshman at the University of the Incarnate Word, a private university in Texas but has campuses in Mexico and although I’m a US citizen, I’m currently studying in one of them in Central Mexico (Upon graduation, an American bachelor’s degree from UIW San Antonio is obtained, so it’s possible for me to transfer to ASU since we have valid US classes that are the same in the main campus) I want to pursue a career in CRE, I have the long term ambition of owning a real estate investment firm but I first want to have experience in CRE acquisitions as an analyst/associate. My current university is sadly UNKNOWN in the high finance and CRE sector, and it’s very unlikely for me to secure a position at such competitive field with a bachelor’s from an unknown university, therefore I am considering to transfer to Arizona State University’s WP Carey, to obtain a BS in Finance with a minor in Real Estate. Although ASU is not the biggest target school for finance or CRE, it’s still much more likely for an ASU student to secure an internship than a UIW student. ASU is AACSB accredited and constantly regarded as one of the best public research universities in the nation, whereas UIW is only known as the largest Hispanic graduating university in Texas… (and its business school is literally named HEB School of Business, I’m not kidding, google it lol) and it’s only ACBSP accredited. I’m able to pay my tuition (well my parents are) every single month, so if I stay at UIW, I will have a degree and I will be debt-free, whereas if I take the ASU route I might end up with some student loan debt but also a higher chance of being employed by a decent firm to pay it off, and it might not be as much student debt since I plan to transfer until my junior year which means I will only have to pay 2 years.
