West Coast RE Asset Management Equity @ Pacific Life ? - Thoughts?
Hello all,
Currently a graduate student, I was wondering about the real estate equity business at Pacific Life.
I spent a bit of time researching Pacific Life on Prequin, the Real deal, and networking with a few of my professors; however, I haven't found much information on transactions, current holdings, and early career at this firm. I scheduled a coffee chat with a manager next week, at Pacific Life, and have been working on formulating good questions for the chat.
Would appreciate any thoughts about Pacific's real estate equity business and early analyst life at Pacific Life.

They are massive and a very large player in the very large institutional D/E space

I'm guessing that they normally do a few large transactions every year. Given that they're a life co I'm assuming their leverage is low relative to other lenders given current deal economics (especially for large projects).
