What do Fridays look like in your office?...
Currently sitting in a 75% empty office (I know today is Veteran's Day, but it is still usually much lighter on Friday). I work in a boutique brokerage as an analyst. Just curious what other people's offices look like on Friday? Low key bored...
People usually just leave early
Typically 75%-100% of the team is in, and then people screw whenever they are done with the immediate work.
I’m the only person here on my team of 10 people.
Half full if not 75% full....We have half the execs out of our office and typically they are almost all in, unless travelling. Schools are closed around here so a couple people are working remotely. But typically it's 75%. Do lunch or happy hour after. People just roll in a bit earlier. Mondays are usually the day people aren't in.
A lot more empty desks as of late at my firm in general
but to answer your question, all analysts/juniors are here but seniors are out
I have never been in on a Friday but I hear it’s usually like 75% empty. Friday is the unofficial company-wide WFH day.
In brokerage. MDs are probably averaging 35hrs a week in the office. Not many deals getting signed up and morale is low.
Full. Some cut out real early (like 3PM). I don’t work past 5-5:30 on Fridays. Principal.
Half my office is hybrid, half come in everyday. On Fridays hybrid folks all are home, in office folks 75% show up, do the immediate stuff before Lunch. If something is pressing, come back after lunch, if not, smell ya. Brokerage
We all work from home Fridays. During the summer I was the only one coming in at all for a few months. Five man fund in NYC with about $350M AUM.
How is it working at a 5 man shop? In terms of Comp, learning, growth, long term prospects for yourself
Do you guys own one $350mm asset? Who's doing the accounting, or do you outsource it to a 3P?
