What do you think about PE associate at Lone Star ?
Are they doing well ? Are they different in Europe vs US vs Asia ? Comps and Deals ? (Comp not best but deals look good. Similar class close to BX, KKR?)
Not same ballpark or business model as BX but very prestigious and sharp group. Extremely (emphasis on extremely) intense culture. Great alumni network. Know ppl on the distressed side - some of the best in the business but the intensity/workload is not for everyone.

You mean Tokyo? They culled their HK office during covid. Intense culture in NYC. Senior dealmakers used to be LP check writers, now they are trying to get in a broader range of senior people.
